The property was created through the restoration of a historic island home, now renovated in traditional Aeolian style and designed to offer comfortable, independent, and authentic stays. Each apartment is equipped with the main amenities needed to experience Vulcano freely, in a simple, carefully maintained environment deeply connected to the local territory.
One of Terraniura’s greatest strengths is its location: the house is situated at the foot of the Gran Cratere of Vulcano, about a 6-minute walk from Levante Port, just 100 meters from the trailhead leading to the volcano hike, about 8 minutes from the thermal mud baths, and around 13 minutes from the Black Sand Beach.

The Charm of Terraniura Between Cinema and Tradition
The house also preserves a special memory linked to the history of Vulcano and Italian cinema.
During the filming of the movie “Vulcano” in 1950, starring Anna Magnani, Rossano Brazzi, and Geraldine Brooks, the island became the natural setting for a fascinating chapter in Aeolian cinema history. According to family tradition, some actors and members of the production crew stayed in our house, which at the time belonged to the Zanca family.
Today, Terraniura keeps that connection with the past alive: not just a holiday home, but a place that tells an authentic story of old Vulcano.
